While CHERI receives some financial support from the Hospital,
we are primarily a self-funded institute that relies on sponsorship,
donations and very competitive research grants. However, a
variety of CHERI’s activities cannot be funded by grants,
which is why your financial support is important to us.
| Your financial support will directly assist in funding services and projects such as: |
| • |
Research projects – Research grants do not cover all costs and there are also a range of research projects waiting to be funded. Please contact us for further information about sponsoring a project. Click
here for information about our current research projects. |
| • |
Educational clinics - To ensure that all children and families can access CHERI's clinics, our services are free of charge. Our clinics provide a specialised and valuable service for children and their families, which is unique to CHERI and The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. |
| • |
Resources - Staff at CHERI have developed a range of helpful information handouts for parents and teachers such as homework tips and how to develop language skills in children. |
| • |
Conferences - To assist in bridging the gap between health and education, and to disseminate latest research findings, we hold conferences and research forums for teaching and medical professionals, as well as parents. |
| • |
Bequests - If you would like to remember CHERI in your will, once your family is taken care of, please contact us and we can explain how this may be done. |
